Day 1 Nairobi – Maasai Mara
Pick up from your hotel at 0730 hrs and drive via the scenic
Great Rift Valley, to the Mara Reserve arriving in good time
for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight
at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar
Day 2/3: Maasai Mara
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the Big 5.
Dinner and overnight at a Keekorok lodge or Masai Mara Sopa
Lodge
The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular
game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game
reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great
extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can
be seen at the Mara. A spectacle worth seeing is the annual
migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from
Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River
to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from late June. The
dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants
by predators can be viewed from early July to August. The
reserve abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species
have been recorded. Hot air balloon safaris are readily
available in this park
Day 4: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast proceed northwards to arrive in Lake Nakuru
National park in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the
park where you will have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary
catering for a sizeable number of the endangered rhinocerous
and the Rothschild giraffe. Waterbucks as well as the
predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park.
Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of birdlife in
and around the lake. Flamingoes are also plenty at the lake.
Dinner and overnight at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National park
Game is viewed as we exit the park and drive to Amboseli
National reserve at the foot of snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro,
Africa’s highest peak. Packed lunches enroute Afternoon game
drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena lodge
or similar
Day 6 Amboseli National park
full day in this photogenic park. Morning and afternoon game
drives. Meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena lodge or

Amboseli means ‘the place of water’ in Maasai language. The
park has an endless supply of water which is filtered through
thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro.
Animal species seen include elephant, zebra, wildebeest,
giraffe, impala and leopard. The birdlife seen here includes
pelican, bee eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle and pygmy
falcon. Amboseli is one of the most popular parks and offers
excellent accommodation facilities.
Day 7 Amboseli - Lake Manyara
After breakfast, we drive into Tanzania via the Namanga
border. We also pass through Arusha for lunch and proceed to
Lake Manyara National park with Regardless of the direction we
approach Manyara from, the view is always fantastic. Dinner
and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena lodge or similar..
Lake Manyara is a shallow, alkaline lake that is part of the
Rift Valley wall; the lake is at the base of this dramatic
western escarpment giving it a beautiful and serene setting.
In addition to this peaceful setting, Lake Manyara’s main
attractions are its rich bird life, tree climbing lions and
its hippos, which you can see at a closer range than many
other places. Lake Manyara also hosts thousands of flamingos
at certain times of the year and has diverse vegetation
ranging from savannah, to marshes and acacia woodland,
enabling a variety of wildlife habitats including butterflies.
Day 8 /9 Lake Manyara - Serengeti Narional park
We enjoy a refreshing early morning game-drive in Lake Manyara
National Park followed by breakfast in the cool morning air.
We then drive to the great Serengeti National Park game
viewing and with a picnic lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight
stay at Serengeti sopa Lodge . The following day is spent
leisurely viewing game.
Serengeti is Africa’s most famous and Tanzania’s largest park
covering 14,736 sq km and is adjoining with the Masai Mara
National reserve in Kenya. With a wildebeest population of
about 2 million and several other hoofed species (which
include zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi, Grants
gazelle, Kongoni, Eland, Kirk’s dik dik, klipspringer, roan,
Oryx, oribi, waterbuck, buffalo, giraffe and warthog), the
Serengeti is sure to attract a string of prey such as lion,
leopard, cheetah, hyena, golden jackals and bat eared foxes.
Elephants are relatively scarce and the few remaining black
rhinoceros are restricted to the Moru Koppies area.
Serengeti also offers rewarding bird viewing with ostrich and
kori bustard being common, a variety of larks, finches, and
raptors can be seen but the most distinctive small bird is the
lilac breasted roller.
Day 10 - Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge
After an early breakfast, we drive south to the magnificent
Ngorongoro crater via the historical Olduvai Gorge whilst game
watching only interrupted by a Packed lunches enroute. We stop
and set camp at the Ngorongoro sopa lodge
The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic
caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena.
It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world,
not only because of its geological magnificence, but also
because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for
some of Africa’s largest populations of large mammals.
The Olduvai Gorge cuts through rock beds layered in time
sequence from 2 million years ago to the present. It is here
where humanoid bones have been found dating back to over 1.75
million years including a direct ancestor of modern man.
Fossil footprints (over three million years old) have also
been found here and are the most ancient footprints yet
discovered. There is an excellent site museum where you can
explore the diggings with a guide and it is also a great place
to view birds.
Day 11- Ngorongoro- Arusha
Morning crater tour then proceed to Arusha with packed
lunches. Dinner and overnight at a hotel
Day 12 Arusha- Nairobi
Board a Nairobi bound shuttle bus and drive to Nairobi – to
arrive at 1400 hrs.

Day 1 : Lake Nakuru National Park
Pick up from your hotel at 0830 hrs and drive via the scenic
Rift valley to arrive L. Nakuru National park in good time for
lunch. Full afternoon game drives followed by dinner and
overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Sarova lion hill.
Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and
the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a
soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at
times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a
distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also
earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered
species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and
white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all
residents here.
Day 2 : Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara
Drive to via the Great Rift Valley to arrive at Maasai Mara in
time for lunch at Mara Serena lodge lodge . Full afternoon
game drive till dusk.
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it
is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been
recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos,
crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs,
hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of
antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the
most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This
is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra
from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture.
Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna-
lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.
Day 3/4 Maasai Mara
Full days spent exploring the park in search of the big 5-
Optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost.
Overnight stay at Mara Serena lodge or Similar
Day 5 : Musoma
We leave the lodge soon after breakfast and drive through the
southern part of the reserve viewing game as we proceed to the
Tanzanian border at Isebania / Sirari. We stop for the night
in a quiet town on the shores of the immense Lake Victoria
known as Musoma. The surrounding countryside is home to many
different tribes including the Kuria, Jita, Luo, and Taturu.
Musoma’s colourful port and variety of tribes make it a
vibrant town. Overnight stay at Penusila hotel
Day 6 : Musoma - Serengeti National park
Leaving in the morning, we drive south and west to the western
corridor of the great Serengeti via Ndabaka Gate with a picnic
lunch enroute. The afternoon is spent viewing game .Dinner and
overnight at Serengeti sopa lodge .
Day 7 : Serengeti National park
Departing in the morning, you drive west game viewing through
the western corridor of the Serengeti to the Central region of
Seronera.
You can visit the park all year round but there is less game
in the park during the dry season – July /October, where they
migrate to the Maasai Mara in Kenya. During March to May the
herds move in search of grazing to the southern section and in
May to June, they move towards the western corridor of the
park. Serengeti in the low season will still offer game
viewing to match that of any park in Africa, and for some, the
fact that there will be fewer tourists may be an added bonus.
Overnight stay at a lodge
Day 8 : Serengeti - Ngorongoro crater
We view game as we drive southeast up into the magnificent
Ngorongoro Conservation .Full afternoon crater tour followed
by dinner and overnight stay at a lodge Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
by the crater rim.

Ngorongoro and other freestanding mountains are volcanic in
origin, formed during the fracturing process that created the
Rift valley 15 to 20 million years ago. When it peaked in size
3 million years ago it was a similar height to Mt. Kilimanjaro
today
Day 9 : Ngorongoro - Zanzibar
Pick up from the lodge and drive to Kilimanjaro airport to
catch PW 431 departing at 1540 to arrive Zanzibar at 1640
Hrs. On arrival you will be transferred to Ras Nugwi beach
resort or Similar for overnight stay
Day 10 /11 Zanzibar
Days Spent on your own at the beach hotel sun bathing. Visit
to the Stone town and spice tours can be arranged.
Day 12: Zanzibar- Nairobi
Transfer to the airport to catch your Nairobi bound flight
connecting with your home bound flight.
