6 Days - Rift Valley Lakes (Lake Baringo, Bogoria and nakuru) /Maasai Mara Wildlife Camping Safari

Explore the scenic lakes of the Great Rift Valley on the hunt for hippos, crocodiles and flocks of pink flamingos, and in the Masai Mara stalk the Big 5.

Day 1, Lake Baringo

pick up from your hotel at 0730hrs and drive via the scenic floor of the spectacular Rift Valley from the top of an escarpment, dotted with its string of lakes, that is a great introduction to the natural beauty of the region. Camp at Roberts camp next to freshwater Lake Baringo where there is the option of taking a boat trip to search for hippo and crocodile and view the abundant birdlife around the lake shore.

Day 2, Lake Bogoria /Nakuru

From Baringo it's a short drive to Lake Bogoria, a shallow soda lake set amidst beautiful scenery. Like the other Kenyan soda lakes, it has no outlet and the intense evaporation leads to high levels of salt and minerals, which flamingos love and from a distance the surface of the water appears bright pink. Next to the lake are steaming hot springs and geysers, but don't be tempted to put your hands into the water if you are at all fond of your skin! Continue south to Lake Nakuru National Park, another shallow soda lake famous for its birdlife, and the park is also home to lion, many rhino and if you're very lucky you may spot a leopard in an Acacia tree. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Guest House

Day 3 Maasai Mara:

We head south to Narok, Lunch en route then proceed to Maasai Mara -game is viewed as we
proceed to the Mara Sidai camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 & 5, Masai Mara

Full day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5.Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Dinner and overnight stay at a Campsite

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheeter

Day 6 : Mara - Nairobi

Morning game drives then proceed to Nairobi to arrive by 1600 hrs where the safari ends.
